Culture Festival to Enliven Jakarta Marathon

The Jakarta Marathon Culture Festival will be held for the second time on Sunday (10/26). The festival will display the archipelago cultural arts and contemporary, as well as to enliven the 2014 Jakarta Marathon. There would be 20 performances with archipelago diverse cultures along the running track of Jakarta Marathon.

Budhiman also disclosed that technically there would be moveable stages built along the running track.

Among the arts to be displayed are gambang kromong (music ensemble) and tanjidor from Jakarta, gendang beleg (big drum dance) and semprong (traditional egg rolls) from West Nusa Tenggara (NTB), kolintang and idiokordo from Sulawesi, liong and barongsai (dragon and lion dance) from Tionghoa (Chinese), dol and tasa from Bengkulu, balegaur and gamelan from Bali, as well as tifa dance and yospa from Papua.
