Thousand Islands Assistance for Governance and People's Welfare, Suroso Budijanto stated, through various policies and efforts that have been made, Thousand Islands Regency is ready to take a part in performance assessment for Stunting Reduction and Prevention in 2020 at Jakarta Province level.
"Our performance in preventing stunting will be assessed from October 26. Indicators for this assessment are our efforts in preventing stunting in children in Thousand Islands," he said after leading a meeting to prepare and evaluate regency's performance in preventing stunting at Mitra Praja Office, Sunter, North Jakarta, on Thursday (10/15).

"It includes counseling, education about nutritional intake for children and toddlers, and providing additional food for them," he mentioned.
In order to ensure children's growth and development goes well, he assessed, his side needs to ensure fulfill maternal nutrition during pregnancy.
"Pregnant women should pay attention to nutrition of foods they consume thus their children's nutritional intakes can be fulfilled," he closed.
