Monas Security Management will Be Re-Organized

To maximize the monitoring activity around the Monas Park, Management Unit (UP) Monas plans to re-organized the longstanding security management. The security officer through outsourcing company will be replaced by non-permanent employee (PHL).

As the Governor suggestion, next year we will not use outsourcing system because they are not effective in monitoring Monas

Besides changing the security system, UP Monas area also plans to increase the security officer number to 180 personnel. Because, the existing 120 personnel can not monitor Monas at all area.

As the result, this biggest park at the capital is usually used by the teenager to do immoral, especially at night. They use dim location with minimum security to do immoral.

"We have a little problem to do the monitoring, especially at night. The visitors have no awareness. So from the beginning we ask Monas to close at afternoon like another museum," said Rini, Thursday (23/10).

Besides, added Rini, to tighten the Monas security, start on next year the security officer from outsourcing company will be replaced by PHL security officer.

" As the Governor suggestion, next year we will not use outsourcing system because they are not effective in monitoring Monas ," added Rini.

Rini explained, with outsourcing system, her side meets difficulty in crack down the bad officer. "We have reported to the outsourcing company but they not replace the bad officer," she explained.

Rini added, it is hoped with the new security system about the limited time visit can be applied maximally.

As known, the limited operational time applied from 4 AM to 10 AM on Monday. Then at 4 AM to 8 PM on Tuesday to Friday.
