Environment Agency: 22,683 Kg of E-waste have Been Collected Along February-October

They (e-waste) are collected from dozens of e-waste storage places

The Jakarta Environment Agency has noted that they have managed to collect 22,683 kg of electronic waste (e-waste) during February until October.

"They (e-waste) are collected from dozens of e-waste storage places in the form of e-waste drop boxes scattered in Jakarta and through e-waste pick-up services," expressed Jakarta Environment Agency Head, Andono Warih, Tuesday (11/17).

City Spreads E-Waste Dropboxes at 60 Points

Several e-waste storage points were located in buildings and city administration offices, private companies, schools, Transjakarta bus stops, train stations, MRT stations, and other public spaces.

"We're working with a third party that has a permit from the Ministry of Environment and Forestry for further management," he stated.
