Jakarta Government submits Regional Regulation Draft (Raperda) on City Budget (APBD) 2021 to the Jakarta Council (DPRD) in Plenary Meeting held on Thursday (11/26). On this occasion, Jakarta Governor, Anies Baswedan stated that in Raperda on next year's APBD, Jakarta Government is still focusing on handling COVID-19 pandemic.

"APBD 2021 preparation is still focusing on handling COVID-19 pandemic. All of us can't predict and know for sure whether the pandemic will end in 2021 or not. Thus there will be budget adjustments in 2021," he mentioned as quoted from Jakarta PPID Press Release on Thursday (11/26).
He also conveyed the general policies in the draft, including policies on Regional Income, Regional Expenditure, and Regional Financing. Regional Revenue will be directed to increase local revenue, manage transfer funds, and increase other regional revenues.
Plenary Meeting with DPRD, Anies Conveys Raperda APBD-P 2020Meanwhile, regional expenditure will be directed to achive Governor and Deputy Governor visions and missions as mentioned in RPJMD 2017-2022, such as encouraging strategic activities, implementing development strategies, fulfilling obligations of providing education budgets, allocating budgets to sectors that related to the community, providing assistance in form of subsidies, grants, social assistance, and expenditures to support economic growth, increasing employment, alleviating poverty, supporting national policies, and overcoming the impacts of COVID-19 pandemic.
"For regional financing, the source of financing revenue in 2021 is planned to use Unspent funds at the end of fiscal year 2020 (SiLPA) and regional loans through national economic recovery (PEN) and loan extension from government for MRT project," he added.
His side explained, total APBD 2021 Draft reaches RP 82.5 Trillion or increase 30.4 percent compared to APBD 2020 Amendment. For Local Revenue 2021 is estimated to reach Rp 72.2 Trillion. Next, Regional Expenditure is estimated to reach Rp 72.98 Trillion in form of Operational Expenditure, Capital Expenditure, Unexpected Expenditure, and Transfer Expenditure. The APBD 2021 draft which has been submitted to DPRD is expected to be discussed quickly and accurately thus it can be implemented immediately.
"We hope discussion in factions can be quick thus we can have RAPBD 2021 where the details (explained) after discussion in factions," he stated.
