Total 737 North Jakarta Public Infrastructure and Facilities Handling (PPSU) personnel participated in construction workforce certification test held by Jakarta Regional III Construction Services Center of Public Works Ministry.

According to plan, this activity will be held until tomorrow at North Jakarta Mayor Office.

North Jakarta Mayor, Sigit Wijatmoko said, the construction workforce certification test is important to increase PPSU work competence. He ensured this certification test will be held by implementing strict health protocols.

"PPSU personnel is the forefront in handling problems in the area. Thus it is important to improve their competence, both knowledge in work procedures and K3," he asserted, Monday (11/30).

This activity, he added, was divided in three locations; at Bahari Room, Babussalam Mosque Hall, and Yos Sudarso Hall. PPSU personnel who participated in this test were from 6 sub-districts in North Jakarta.

Meanwhile, Sub-Coordinator for Planning and Information of Jakarta Regional III Construction Services Center, Indra Suhada mentioned, test was carried out according to Law No. 2/2017 concerning Construction Services.

In general, there are three materials tested in this construction workfoce certification test. Those are skills, knowledge, and attitudes at work. Those materials are considered important to face global labor competition, especially to compete with foreign workers in Indonesia.

"On the first day, we give them briefing and exam on the second day. The exam includes written test, interviews, and practice," he stated.
