The Jakarta Regional Disaster Agency (BPDB) has formed disaster alert villages in five urban areas and one district.
Sabdo Kurnianto, Acting Head of Jakarta BPBD said it aimed to make residents more responsive and alert when any disaster occurs. He provided various disaster mitigations in the event of a disaster amid COVID-19 pandemic as it was today.

He furthered, its existence was already available on Panggang Island and Untung Jawa Island (Thousand Islands), Pangadegan Urban Village (South Jakarta), Karet Tengsin Urban Village (Central Jakarta), Penjagalan Urban Village (North Jakarta), Cililitan Urban Village (East Jakarta), and Semanan and Rawa Buaya urban villag (West Jakarta).
His party also gave assistance in forms of rubber boats, round buoys, oars, vests, hats, manuals, masks and APAR (portable fire extinguisher) in case of a fire disaster.
"With this disaster alert village, residents are expected to be more alert and responsive when the fire broke out. Better to have an umbrella before it rains," he stated.
