3 City Parks in East Jakarta Renovated

We will renovate the parks to be more modern with sport and children's playground, as well as fountain

As many as three city parks in East Jakarta will be renovated in a bid to attract more visitors. Various facilities will be provided, among others, a jogging track, a fountain, a children's playground, and a seat. By so, the parks can be tourist and sport site for the people.

Those parks are DR Sumarno and Klender in Cakung Sub-District, as well as Jatinegara in Jatinegara Sub-District. "We will renovate the parks to be more modern with sport and children's playground, as well as fountain," Head of East Jakarta Parks Sub-Department, Wednesday (10/29).

Unfortunately, Suzi Marzitawati stated the renovation is not done simultaneously. This is because his side does not have a lot of budget to add facilities required.

"Our problem is lack of budget. Hence, we ask the support of all related units to endorse our program," she stated.

Head of Green Belt Section, East Jakarta Parks Sub-Department, Abu Bakar added this year his sub-department could renovate the DR Sumarno Park where its process has entered 20 percent.

"Thus far, we have installed a water tank in the ground that works to accommodate water during rainy season. The tank is useful for watering plants and fountains," he expressed.
