BMKG Warns of Rain Accompanied by Lightning in South, West and East Jakarta

The Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) predicted low-intensity rain will fall in Jakarta on Monday (12/21)

Be aware of the potential for rain accompanied by lightning and strong winds in South Jakarta, West Jakarta and East Jakarta areas during the day

BMKG's Public Relation Division Head, Achmad Taufan Maulana said, five regions had seen light rain in early morning.

"Cloudy is expected in West Jakarta, North Jakarta and Thousand Islands in the morning. But bright cloudy in Central Jakarta, North Jakarta and South Jakarta," he told.

BMKG: Beware of Rain Accompanied by Strong Winds in Afternoon

In the afternoon, Thousand Islands will be cloudy. As for West Jakarta, Central Jakarta and North Jakarta would see some rain. While rain accompanied by lightning in South Jakarta and East Jakarta.

Then cloudy in the evening.

Temperatures are predicted at 24 to 32 degrees Celsius with humidity of 75 to 90 percent.

"Be aware of the potential for rain accompanied by lightning and strong winds in South Jakarta, West Jakarta and East Jakarta areas during the day," he stressed.
