Dinsos Holds Appreciation Webinar for Persons with Disabilities

It is a momentum to remind us of respect, protection and right for persons with disabilities in Jakarta

The Jakarta Social Agency (Dinsos) holds a virtual appreciation webinar for persons with disabilities.

Dinsos Secretary Hayat Duhayat stated, it was aired via YouTube, Facebook and zoom application belong to the agency.

It attended by some speakers, namely Presidential Staff Office Deputy V Expert Sunarman Sukamto and Jakarta DPD Chairman for Indonesian Blind Union (Pertuni) Eka Setiawan.

"This year, Disability Day is held virtually amid the coronavirus pandemic. It is a momentum to remind us of respect, protection and right for persons with disabilities in Jakarta," he said, Wednesday (12/30).

In the same time, similar statement also came out from Dinsos's Rehabilitation Division Head Prayitno.

On that occasion, the agency also announced the winners of singing, poetry, painting, individual dance and group dance. They received a prize of Rp 10 million sponsored by Bank DKI, painting tools sponsored by PT Pegadian and compensation package sponsored by Rumah Yatim.

Those winners in question were Muhammad Fahmi (PSBNRW Cahaya Bathin) won the singing competition, followed by Dewi Puji Lestari (PSBD Budi Lestari) won poetry, Marissa (PSBL HS 3) won painting, Riska Peresty (Guru Siswa Terpadu Foundation) won individual dance and PSBL HS 3A won group dance.

"We continue to raise awareness for persons with disabilities and remove negative stigma against them. So make their rights the same as ours," he closed.
