RW 05 Tanjung Duren Utara COVID-19 Task Force Consistently Implements Health Protocols

As we know, efforts to prevent COVID-19 is not only government's responsibility, but all parties. Thus it is very important to build good cooperation between all parties to prevent COVID-19 transmission.

Residents are agreed to give reprimand and social sanction for those who violate health protocols during the pandemic

For example, RW 05 COVID-19 Task Force of Tanjung Duren Utara Urban Village, Grogol Petamburan, West Jakarta that has been consistent in implementing strict health protocols from the beginning of pandemic until now.

Tanjung Duren Utara Urban Village RW 05 Head, Djumadi mentioned, his side continues to be consistent in socializing and implementing strict health protocols, including in imposing sanctions for residents who violate it.

"Residents are agreed to give reprimand and social sanction for those who violate health protocols during the pandemic. Almost every corners in settlements also installed with banners to socialize people about the dangers of COVID-19 and how to prevent the transmission," he explained, Wednesday (1/20).

Before enacting the policy, his side and COVID-19 Task Force had already known the main problems faced by residents in the midst of pandemic situation.

"We try to implement instructions from government and follow up its developments. We also continue to educate our Task Force members," he added.

He gave an example that in early days of pandemic, his side banned online motorcycle taxis from entering RW 05 Tanjung Duren Utara. However, over time, his side allowed online motorcycle taxis to enter RW 05 but with strict health protocols.

"We are grateful that residents support us. With those efforts, number of people who are exposed to COVID-19 in our area is no more than five people until today. Indeed, the number fluctuates," he conveyed.

His side also ensured all efforts made by RW 05 COVID-19 Task Force were always coordinated with both local urban village and health centers (puskesmas).
