East Jakarta Mayor Monitors Collapsed Embankment Repair in Kramat Jati

East Jakarta Mayor, Muhammad Anwar together with his subordinates monitored collapsed embankment and retaining walls which located in Kali Baru RW 01, Tengah Urban Village, Kramat Jati, on Friday (1/22). His side monitored the location to ensure temporary repair has been carried out.

We suggest to repair it permanently along 270 meters

On this occasion, his side monitored the conditions of retaining walls and embankment after being temporarily repaired with sandbags and dolken woods.

According to him, this retaining wall and embankment will be repaired permanently. Part of the collapsed retaining wall is only 60 meters, but it will be repaired along 270 meters because other parts are also damaged.

"We suggest to repair it permanently along 270 meters because plaster condition is already porous and prone to collapse," he conveyed.

His side has requested Water Resources (SDA) Sub-agency to repair it permanently as soon as possible.

"It should be repaired immediately because it is feared another landslide will occur and cause inundation in the residential areas," he explained.
