is prioritized for arterial roads, protocol roads and overpasses.Such installation is targeted to be completed by the end of this December
Based on the latest data, as many as 52 thousands of street lights have been installed. But the amount is deemed lacking, considering East Jakarta is categorized as quite large area in the capital.
"Such installation is targeted to be completed by the end of this December," said head of East Jakarta Industry and Energy Sub-Department, Tuti Kurnia, Monday (11/3).
387,000 Street Lights Targeted to Be Installed Next YearKurnia explained, her sub-department also plans to replace 2,000 lights with the energy-efficient lighting (LED) lamps. The LED lamp is used because having a good quality and durability compared with other types.
"Indeed, the LED lamp is slightly expensive. The important thing is we can do efficiency related to the cost of maintenance, etc," she explained.
