Lack of Crane Car, Repair Work on Street Lights Unoptimal

We only have one crane car. If there are street lights as high as 13 meters, its repair must wait in line to be repaired

Lack of crane car has caused the Central Jakarta Industry and Energy Sub-Department cannot maximally repair the malfunctioned street lights. Currently, they only have one crane car to maintain and repair street lights in eight sub-districts.

"We only have one crane car. If there are street lights as high as 13 meters, its repair must wait in line to be repaired," said Head of Central Jakarta Industry and Energy Sub-Department, Iswandi, Wednesday (10/8).

1,000-Watt Street Lights Installed as Theft Prevention

According to Iswandi, the lack of crane car causes repair work does not optimal. "The proposal for additional crane car already done. Yet, the budget can be disbursed next year," he told.

He disclosed that the cause of malfunctioned street light is from technical malfunction, voltage factor, until non-technical factors such as missing or accidentally marred by irresponsible people.

Due to not having authority, he furthered he also had difficulty repairing the whole malfunctioned street lights in Central Jakarta. One example is on Jalan MH Thamrin and Jalan Sudirman which is the authority of Jakarta Industry and Energy Department.

"Repair work for street lights around two protocol roads is our authority," he stressed.
