Since the pandemic attacks, based on the President's order, several places for controlled isolation rooms are needed, like at Wisma Atlet and some hotels," Patria said, when he visited the isolation center, Twin Plaza Hotel along with Tourism and Creative Economic Minister, Sandiaga Uno, Wednesday (1/27) night.
Commission E Appreciates Additional Self-isolation Centers in JakartaAs quoted by Jakarta PPID's press release, the vice governor hoped that the administration could continuously collaborate with the central government to get support in overcoming the coronavirus. One of them was by intensifying isolation facility in hotels. As reported before, the government provided the Wisma Atlet FIMK and 17 hotels. Through the ministry, they had provided isolation facility to the financing.
"Since last year, we have used 17 hotels, where 12 are used to accommodate health workers who are still being treated and 5 are used to accommodate people without symptoms (OTG). So thank you for the support. Hopefully the number can be increased again, as COVID-19 cases continue to rise in the city and its surrounding areas. The governor also has communicated with the central government to help increase isolation facility," he explained.
In the meantime, Tourism and Creative Economic Minister Sandiaga Uno positively welcomed the collaboration between the central government and the administration, as well as other related units to provide hotels turned into isolation facility. For this year, the finance is managed by the BNPB. But in the future, the financing will be borne back by the ministry.
"The central government will add more isolation facilities for health workers, OTG and also quarantine. Temporarily they plan to accommodate through the BNPB. Then us, will await the data from the PHRI, the governor and the health ministry, how much is projected. Thus we can calculate and give our support to realize them all. With this collaboration, hopefully we can quickly stop the disease," he uttered.
