As many as 57 joint personnel from Police, TNI (army) and Satpol PP distributed free masks to residents who passing the intersection under Pondok Bambu Flyover, Duren Sawit, East Jakarta, on Saturday (1/30).

East Jakarta Metropolitan Police (Polres) Chief, Police Commissioner (Kombes Pol) Erwin Kurniawan said, free masks distribution activity was initiated by Polda Metro Jaya in realizing Jakarta Bermasker Program.
According to him, Jakarta Masker Program aims to make people care for each other by always wearing masks to break the chain of COVID-19 transmission.

In this activity, his side distributed 10 thousand masks to the residents. Joint personnel also bring banners that encouraging residents to wear masks.
Pondok Bambu Urban Village Head, Angga Sastra Amidjaya conveyed that his side support this activity by participating in distributing the masks to the residents.
"All masks are from East Jakarta Metropolitan Police. This activity is very positive because it encourages and reminds people to always wear masks," he mentioned.
