10 Transjakarta Bus Stops Closed for Service Improvement

PT Transportasi Jakarta (Transjakarta) started repair work on 11 bus stops in five main corridors in a bid to improve quality services and closed 10 bus stops temporarily to make way for the project.

Those ten stops in question were Sumur Bor (Corridor 3), Jembatan Baru (Corridor 3), Istiqlal (Corridor 2), Deplu or Foreign Ministry (Corridor 2), Gambir 1 (Corridor 2), Gambir 2 (Corridor 2), Ragunan (Corridor 6), Pinang Ranti (Corridor 9), Pulogadung (Corridor 4), and RSPAD (Corridor 2).
PT Transjakarta Operational Director Prasetio Budi said it would take two months, starting from February to March 2021.

He explained that the commuters could use alternative stops nearby for activities.
"For instance, those who usually use the Sumur Bor and Jembatan Baru bus stops, may use the Pesakih, Dispenda and Rawa Buaya stops as the closest stops," he explained.
Similar action was also spotted at Kalideres Bus Stop (Corridor 3). However, it was still operating as the process of picking up and dropping off passengers could still be done at the arrival gate.
"We apologize for this inconvenience. In future, we will continue to provide maximum safe and comfortable service," he uttered.
Nevertheless, he urged the public, including public transportation users to be discipline by implementing 3M, namely wearing masks, washing hands, and maintaining physical distancing.
'Do not leave the house if there is no urgent need," he said.
