City Adds 4 Hotels as Controlled Isolation Locations

Jakarta Government will add 4 hotels for controlled isolation locations. Those hotels are intended for people exposed to COVID-19 without symptoms (OTG).

We estimate the hotels can be used in the near future

Tourism and Creative Economy Agency's Tourism Business Section Head, Raymond Stefanus stated, those were 2-star and 3-star hotels with total capacity of 800 rooms.

Based on review by Health Ministry, those 4 hotels are feasible and now we are preparing health workers and infrastructure. We estimate the hotels can be used in the near future," he explained, Tuesday (2/2).  

In using this facility, people who have been confirmed with COVID-19 OTG must receive referral from Puskesmas (health center).

"Patients must met several conditions, then puskesmas will arrange it or make a referral," he added.

According to him, there were dozens of hotel managers who proposed their hotels as controlled isolation locations for OTG to Jakarta Tourism and Creative Economy Agency.

"We assess the 4 selected hotels have met the standards and in accordance with Jakarta Gubernatorial Decree (Kepgub) No. 980/2020 on Controlled Isolation Management Procedures in Handling COVID-19. We will inform you later about hotels location after it is used," he stated.

Formerly, there were 7 hotels in Jakarta, including TMII Graha Wisata, that were used as controlled isolation places for OTG.
