Commemorating National Press Day (HPN) 2021, Jakarta Government through Communication, Informatics, and Statistics Agency (Diskominfotik) facilitated four webinars and National Mass Media Convention with theme 'Awakening from Pandemic, Jakarta the Gateway to Economic Recovery, Press as an Accelerator of Change'.

Jakarta Diskominfotik Head, Atika Nur Rahmania said, HPN 2021 was intended as a forum to exchange ideas for press development in Indonesia.
She explained, HPN 2021 series of activities have been carried out virtually since January 20, 2021 through webinars and socialization acitivities. While the peak of HPN 2021 was held on February 6-9, 2021 at Candi Bentar Hall, Putri Duyung Resort, Ancol, North Jakarta.

- Adinegoro Webinar is a webinar held in series of Anugerah Adinegoro Journalism Award. According to plan, it will be attended by award winners from 6 categories, namely Print, Cyber, Television, Radio, Photo, Caricature categories, along with the judges.
- Digital Literacy Webinar discusses the use of ICT in handling COVID-19, presenting speakers such as JSC Unit Head, PWI Administrators, Editor in Chief of Tempo, Founder Channel Kok Bisa.
2. February 7, 2021
- Social Economic Acceleration Webinar discusses the Priorities for Economic Recovery Acceleration by presenting speakers from Expert Staff for State Expenditure of Finance Ministry, Jakarta Secretary Assitant for Economy and Finance, Chief Editor of Infobanknews.com, and Press Council Members.
- Creative Industry Webinar discuses Creative Industry in Pandemic Period by presenting speakers from PWI and creative industry players, namely Founder of Ikat Indonesia, Chairperson of IKAPI Jakarta, and Program Director of Katapel.id.
3. February 8, 2021
National Mass Media Convention by inviting Communication and Information Minister, BUMN Minister, Finance Minister, Press Council and PWI Head, Mass Media Leaders Representatives, and Regional Leaders Representatives as speakers.
4. February 9, 2021
The peak event that will be attended by Indonesian President virtually from the Palace, accompanied by Jakarta Governor, Press Council Chairperson, and Central PWI Chairperson. In this peak event, awards will be presented in the press field as follows:
- Anugerah Adinegoro Award
- Anugerah Kebudayaan Award
- Pena Mas Award
- BNPB / Satgas COVID-19 (COVID-19 Task Force) Award
- Health Minister Award
By holding this event, it is hoped that in the future, press can continue to collaborate with government and help public to understand the existing policies and information. Thus later it can create a better partnership through news that uphold the principles of journalistic elements and ethics, as well as verification discipline.
