Gulkarmat Deploys Rubber Boats to Evacuate Flood Victims in Cipinang Melayu

East Jakarta Fire Handling and Rescue (Gulkarmat) Sub-agency deployed 25 Gulkarmat personnel and 5 five rubber boats to evacuate flood victims in Cipinang Melayu Urban Village, Makasar Sub-district, on Friday (2/19).

East Jakarta Gulkarmat Sub-agency Head, Muchtar Zakaria who led the evacuation said, his side operated 5 rubber boats to patrol in residential areas at RW 02, 03, 04 and RW 13 that were affected by flood.

According to him, residents who needed help were evacuated immediately by his subordinates to evacuation posts or locations that were safe from flood.

Dozens Affected by Floods in Pejaten Timur Evacuated

"We deploy 5 rubber boats and 25 personnel to help evacuating flood victims in Cipinang Melayu. Our personnel patrol to reach residents who need help in every alleys," he informed.

Until 10:30, his side had evacuated 27 residents, consisting of 15 adults, 9 children, and 3 toddlers. They were immediately taken to evacuation posts located in Borobudur Campus, under Becakayu Toll, in front of Urindo Campus, RW 04 post, and other evacuation points.

"Evacuation will continue to prevent unwanted things," he mentioned.
