Ketua KPK Puji Ahok

KPK Head Praised Ahok

Head of Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) Abraham Samad gave an appreciation to Acting Jakarta Governor Basuki ‘Ahok’ T Purnama who requires all echelon IV-I officials to submit the state apparatus wealth report (LHKPN) to the KPK.

Mr. Ahok is good, because he applied LHKPN policy up to echelon-IV officials. Usually, it’s just for until echelon-II officials only

“Mr. Ahok is good, because he applied LHKPN policy up to echelon-IV officials. Usually, it’s just for until echelon-II officials only,” stated Samad in the sidelines of Supervision Coordination of Corruption Practice Prevention and Launching Plan of Integrity Zone towards Free Area from Corruption workshop held at City Hall, Thursday (11/5).

“We just want to know, so the officials’ career can be more clearly. If they did not report the LHKPN to KPK, we will demote them,” replied Ahok.

KPK Questions Jakarta's Tax Revenue

If the officials who have been demoted still playing tricks, Ahok threatened would revoke their regional performance allowance (TKD). He also admitted does not have qualm with the empty posts due to many officials were demoted as staffs. He assessed it is better that way than to maintain unruly officials playing tricks.

“We start from individual contract, no more using outsourcing. If there were not enough people, we open vacancy from the ministries to move to Jakarta Provincial Government,” he said.
