JIS Development Progress Reaches 49.36 Percent

The Jakarta International Stadium (JIS) development in the 78th week has reached 49.36 percent from the projection of 49.35 percent. That means the development continues to show a positive deviation of 0.01 percent, despite it is carried out amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

Besides football, the stadium will also be used for other big events such as exhibition and music concert

PT Jakarta Propertindo (Jakpro) Corporate Manager Communication, Melisa Sjah said the stadium will have a green building concept and multi-purpose venue function.

"Besides football, the stadium will also be used for other big events such as exhibition and music concert," she expresed, Wednesday (3/3).

JIS Construction Progress Exceeds The Target

She explained it is equipped with a retractable rooftop that adopts space frame structure, which consisted of ball joints and elements consisting of pipes, cones, hexagons, and high tensile (HT) bolts.

"The retractable rooftop is able to cover various needs of activities that take place under it," she explained.

She explained it will also be completed with sky viewing deck features in a bid to pamper visitors with the view of the field from the top side of the stadium and around the circle of the stadium roof.

"The main roof truss structure is now available at the project site and is in the installation stage. Afterwards, it will be lifted at the same time using the heavy lifting method with approximately 3,000 tons weight," she explained.

PT Jakpro Project Director, Iwan Takwin added Jakpronas the Project Owner of JIS along with KSO JIS was committed to completing the milestone project for the pride of Jakartans, according to the target planned by the end of this year.

"We try to complete the work on the target," he stressed.
