Boat Passengers on Route to Thousand Islands Take Rapid Antigen Test

Thousand Islands Regency together with related agencies conducted rapid antigen test for boat passengers on route to Thousand Islands at Pier 16 Marina, Ancol, North Jakarta.

It is done because we want to prevent COVID-19 transmission and make Thousand Islands into green zone again

Thousand Islands Assistant for Governance and People's Welfare, Sujanto Budiroso stated, according to joint commitment of District Leadership Communication Forum (Forkopimkab) to suppress COVID-19 transmission as much as possible in Thousand Islands, his side provided rapid antigen test for passengers at departure pier.

"There are 54 boat passengers, consisting of residents and tourists who are asked to take antigen test. The result, all of them are tested non-reactive," he stated, Thursday (3/4).

According to him, all passengers were required to take the test and if they refuse it, they will be warned by officers and prohibited from continuing the trip.

"It is done because we want to prevent COVID-19 transmission and make Thousand Islands into green zone again," he asserted.

Meanwhile, Thousand Islands Policy Community Development Unit Head (Kasat Binmas), AKP Zuhri Mustopa added, in order to work together in suppressing COVID-19 transmission, his side also deployed officers at each ports, both departure and arrival piers.

"It involves all elements from police, civil apparatuses, and citizens. If there are people with reactive result, we recommend them to take PCR test and referred to Wisma Atlet according to procedures," he mentioned.

Not only at Marina Pier, Ancol, rapid antigen test monitoring also carried out at Kaliadem Pier, Rawasaban Pier, and Tanjung Pier Pier.
