His visit aimed to ensure post-fire handling and aid distribution was properly conducted. He expressed his deep condolences to the victims and helped interact with the survivors.
"I along with the East Jakarta Mayor and the Social Agency Head saw the victims of the fire last night. This fire was relatively small as it was only 4 small plots but the impact was fatal due to the fire in a small alley so it was difficult to evacuate and the victims difficult to save themselves," he explained.
The governor also ensured that all victims received assistance, starting for handling the bodies, providing food, guaranteeing burned documents, to temporary housing for the victims.
"We immediately respond when there is a disaster, and we make sure the contractors who catch fire have temporary shelters, totaling 10 people. They are facilitated to stay for the next 21 days for all their needs, including all required documents will be replaced," he asserted.
