PAM Jaya Continues to Expand Clean Water Supply to Thousand Islands Residents

PAM Jaya continues to expand coverage of clean water service for residents in Thousand Islands. Currently, 9 of 11 residential islands in Thousand Islands have been benefited through Water Treatment Plant (IPA) with Sea Water Reverse Osmosis (SWRO) and clean water network.

9 residential islands have been served by SWRO

Those 9 residential islands are Pramuka Island, Panggang Island, Kelapa Dua Island, Payung Island, Lancang Island, Tidung Island, Kelapa Island, Harapan Island, and Untung Jawa Island.

PAM Jaya President Director, Priyatno Bambang Hernowo said, SWRO service coverage in 9 residential islands has reached 13,480 house connections.

SDA Supplies Clean Water for Hand Washing Facilities in Pramuka Island

"9 residential islands have been served by SWRO and clean water piping network with total current capacity 17 liters per second," he informed, on Thursday (3/25).

He explained, 8 IPAs with SWRO technology used to supply clean water in 9 residential islands were built by Jakarta Water Resources (SDA) Agency and now it is officially managed by PAM Jaya.

"Several days ago, management of SWROs in Tidung Island, Kelapa-Harapan Island, and Lancang Island was handed over from SDA Agency to PAM Jaya," he added.

1. SWRO in Untung Jawa Island

- Total population 2,372 people

- Capacity 2.5 liters per second

- Serves 310 customers

2. SWRO in Panggang Island

-  Total population 4,656 people

3. SWRO in Pramuka Island

- Total population 2,174 people

-  Capacity 1.5 liters per second

- Serves 401 customers
