Setiabudi Connecting Channel Dredging Work Reaches 70 Percent

South Jakarta Water Resources (SDA) Sub-agency dredged connecting channel in Setiabudi One area, Karet Urban Village, Setiabudi. It was done as part of channel normalization.

This dredging work is carried out as a part of water channel normalization

Setiabudi Sub-district SDA Unit Head, Yansori mentioned, his side dredged connecting channel as long as 1,180 meters from the upstream in Perbanas Campus to downstream in Setiabudi Barat Reservoir which crosses three urban villages, namely Karet Kuningan, Karet, and Setiabudi.

"This dredging work is carried out as a part of water channel normalization in order to increase its capacity. Currently we are dredging channel in Setiabudi One," he informed, Thursday (3/25).

In dredging the channel, his side deployed one heavy equipment and seven personnel. His side dredged silt with thickness about 30-100 centimeters.

"Dredging work has been carried out since November 24, 2020 and its process has reached 70 percent. It is estimated to finish by the end of April 2021," he closed.
