17,115 Central Jakarta Residents Receive Social Cash Assistance

Central Jakarta Government distributed social assistance to 17,115 residents, including elderly, people with disabilities, and children from poor families to fulfill their basic needs.

Amount of assistance for each month is Rp 600,000 for elderly and Rp 300,000 for children and people with disabilities

Central Jakarta Mayor, Dhany Sukma mentioned, this assistance was distributed to 13,043 Jakarta Elderly Card (KLJ) holders and 2,058 Jakarta Disability Card (KPDJ) holders for the first quarter of 2021.

According to him, this social cash assistance which channeled through Bank DKI account is in given as city's concern to help people during COVID-19 pandemic.

"Amount of assistance for each month is Rp 600,000 for elderly and Rp 300,000 for children and people with disabilities," he explained.

Social cash assistance for the first quarter 2021 was received in January-March period.

"Hopefully this assistance can be useful to fulfill their needs," he said.

Jakarta Social Agency Secretary, Yayat Duhayat conveyed, this cash assistance can be withdrawn via Bank DKI ATM.

"They can immediately withdraw the cash because we have collaborated with Bank DKI," he stated.
