Channel in Pademangan II Being Cleaned from Mud and Waste

The Pademangan Sub-district Water Resources (SDA) Executing Unit, North Jakarta has started dredging up mud and waste in the water channel, Jalan Pademangan II, Gg. 22, RT 013/005 Pademangan Timur.
Pademangan Sub-district SDA Executing Unit Head Slamet Riyanto disclosed its dredging was carried out to 262 meters length.
Kencana Connecting Channel Dredging Work Targeted to Finish This Month"The thickness of the mud and waste has reached 30 centimeters depth thus the channel can't accommodate water maximally when it rains," he expressed, Sunday (3/28).
According to him, 11 personnel had been dispatched to the location. They were working by adhering to health protocols to contain transmission of COVID-19.
"We have managed to pick up 300 sacks containing mud and waste from the channel," he explained.
He added that it was targeted to be complete in three weeks ahead.
"By ding so, we expect it may minimize flooding in the region when rain pours," he hoped.
