Employing CPNSs as Drivers, Urban Village Heads will Be Summoned

Head of Jakarta Personnel Board (BKD), I Made Karmayoga, admitted did not know there are urban village heads employing civil servants candidates (CPNS) as their drivers. If it was true, investigation will be done to the officials who abuse their authority.

If it was true, I will summon the urban village heads

“I don’t know if there were CPNSs in One-Door Integrated Services (PTSP) Unit being employed as drivers. I will find out. If it was true, I will summon the urban village heads,” he stated, Wednesday (11/12).

According to Karmayoga, the CPNSs who passed the selection test in 2013 are deliberately placed in PTSP which spread in urban village and sub-district offices. The placement is in accordance to the Governor Instruction No. 58/2014 on PTSP Implementation.

BKD Instructed to Evaluate CPNS Placement

“Urban village heads should not be arbitrary to CPNS. Instead, they have expected to give guidance to CPNS in serving the public, not employing them as drivers,” he asserted.

In the future, CPNS placement will be adjusted to their respective fields, so their capabilities can be useful to the people as well. For example, CPNS with engineering degrees will be taught to monitor the buildings that violate the rules.

“Or how to build better urban village office,” he added.

As reported earlier, as many as 571 CPNSs are placed in PTSP offices in urban village until city level. However, six of them are turned out employed by urban village heads as their drivers. Thus, those six CPNSs will be withdrawn and placed in suitable regional work units (SKPD), so their knowledge can be utilized optimally.
