Central Jakarta Mayor Monitors Food Safety in Modern Market

Central Jakarta Mayor, Dhany Sukma together with ranks of Central Jakarta Maritime, Agriculture, and Food Security (KPKP) Sub-agency held fresh food inspection in modern market located on Jalan Gajah Mada, on Friday (4/9).

We also hold food inspection in traditional market and monitor food prices stability

He was accompanied by Central Jakarta KPKP Sub-agency Head, Penti Yunesi conducted food inspection by taking number of fresh food samples from vegetables, processed foods, meat, and fish. Those samples were taken to be checked at laboratory car.

Food inspection was carried out to ensure fresh foods sold in the modern market are safe for consumption, especially ahead of Ramadan.

Food Inspection Intensified in North Jakarta

"We also hold food inspection in traditional market and monitor food prices stability," he added.

His side ensures to impose strict sanctions if his side finds food traded in traditional and modern markets contains of hazardous substances.

"If the result is positive for hazardous substances, we will give them sanctions according to applicable regulations," he said.

Meanwhile, food stock ahead of Ramadan in Central Jakarta is considered safe and the price is quite under control.

"Food stock is still safe and the price is under control," he asserted.
