This collaboration, she continued, can bring freshness in accelerating Kota Tua-Sunda Kelapa development as integrated and modern tourist destination. But it still maintains its heritage value, while emphasizing Jakarta as one of the most historic tourism destinations in Indonesia.

"Total planning area for Kota Tua-Sunda Kelapa Special Economy Zone (KEK) reaches 241 hectares. JXB and our two partners, ITDC and MITJ form joint venture which is expected to produce an effective, efficient, and of course integrated and sustainable management system," she mentioned.

According to her, there are many stakeholders associated with Kota Tua, but there is no system that connects all of them. Therefore, through this collaboration, she will carry out efficient management to make Kota Tua become new magnet for tourism in Jakarta, even Indonesia.

She explained that management in this tourist destination will not only improve tourism sector which had slumped in COVID-19 pandemic, but also contributed in driving economy, improving welfare of residents around Kota Tua and Sunda Kelapa, and building local pride within local community.

"I hope this joint venture can provide solutions for all problems in Kota Tua and be a concrete step since many people doubt that Kota Tua revitalization will never be completed," she stated.

After signing main agreement document on forming joint venture about managing Kota Tua-Sunda Kelapa are that will be continued with making master plan or grand design.

"So far there is no clear grand design regarding Kota Tua arrangement. After completing the grand design, we will encourage all stakeholders to realize it," she closed.
