Ahead Eid, Food Stock in West Jakarta is Safe

West Jakarta Maritime, Agriculture, and Food Security (KPKP) Sub-agency ensures food stock is safe ahead of Eid al-Fitr 1442 Hijri. Besides, his side also regularly monitors food prices in markets.

In this Ramadan month, we also hold cheap bazaar

"Food stocks in markets are safe. Its prices have slightly increased between Rp 500-1,000 for each commodity and it is still reasonable," said Iwan Indriyanto, Head of West Jakarta KPK Sub-agency, Thursday (4/29).

Commodity prices are rising because prices from producers had also increased. While food stock availability for Eid al-Fitr is still in safe condition.

For example, highest average price for premium rice per April is Rp 12,700 per kilogram and the lowest is Rp 12,600 per kilogram. While for beef reaches Rp 132,500 while the highest reaches Rp 132,500-137,100 per kilogram.

Highest program for eggs reached Rp 24,500 and the lowest reached Rp 23,300 per kilogram. While for whole chicken can reach 39,600 at the highest and Rp 36,800 at the lowest price.  

"In this Ramadan month, we also hold cheap bazaar to suppress commodity prices in markets. Moreover, we regularly monitor food prices and stock availability," he said.
