In January-April 2021 period, North Jakarta Transportation Sub-agency (Sudinhub) had towed 879 four-wheeled vehicles.

North Jakarta Sudinhub Head, Harlem Simanjuntak conveyed, towing is carried out everyday in six sub-districts in North Jakarta.

"Towing is done towards vehicle that parked carelessly, both on the road or sidewalk," he added, Tuesday (5/4).

In detail, Sudinhub Units in each sub-districts had towed 88 vehicles in Koja Sub-district, 93 vehicles in Kelapa Gading Sub-district, 67 vehicles in Tanjung Priok Sub-district, 76 vehicles in Cilincing Sub-district.

Next, 96 vehicles in Pademangan Sub-district, 44 vehicles in Penjaringan Sub-district, and 415 vehicles had been towed by North Jakarta Su dinhub personnel.

"In Sudinhub, we deploy 3-4 personnel and operate 6 towing cars. While a towing car and 3 Sudinhub Units personnel are deployed in each sub-districts," he explained.  

He urged road users to prioritize their safety and always comply to traffic regulations and signs, and bring complete vehicle documents.

"We also encourage them to park their vehicles in designated place. Not parking in prohibited area such as sidewalk and roadside," he said.

His side continued to socialize and educate road users, as well as giving sanction for those who violate the regulations.

"It is in accordance with Law (UU) No. 22/2009 on Road Traffic and Transportation and Regional Regulation No. 5/2014 on Transportation," he closed.
