Wali Kota Jaktim Sidak ke Distributor Daging di Pulogadung

East Jakarta Mayor Inspects Meat Distributors in Pulogadung

East Jakarta Mayor, Muhammad Anwar conducted sudden inspection to meat distributors in Pulogadung, on Thursday (5/6). It was done to ensure meat stock is safe and monitor meat price ahead of Eid

Because the price is competitive, it is also very helpful, not only for East Jakarta residents but also for other areas

From this inspection, he found quite a lot of meat stock at distributors and its price is cheaper than in market. The meat product also has good quality.

According to him, meat distributors really help government in stabilizing meat prices in the market. Thus it can break the chain if bad middlemen who play the price.

"It turns out that suppliers in market also take meat from here. Because the price is competitive, it is also very helpful, not only for East Jakarta residents but also for other areas. Such as in South Jakarta, North Jakarta, and others," he said.

On this occasion, he thanked PT. SNJ for providing 400 kilograms meat for PJLP personnel. According to plan, the meat will be given to 200 PJLP personnel at Mayor Office, 100 PJLP personnel at Jati Urban Village Office, and 100 PJLP personnel at Pulogadung Sub-district Office.

PT. SNJ Commissioner, Diana Dewi stated, her side is currently preparing frozen meat for residents in East Jakarta and its surrounding areas with price ranging from Rp 70,000-90,000 per kilogram. Frozen meat is imported from Australia, New Zealand, United States, and India.

"We limit the purchase maximum 5 cartons for market traders. Thus no speculators. Frozen meat price is from Rp 70,000 to Rp 90,000 per kilogram," she explained.
