Realisasi Pembangunan JIS Capai 56 Persen

JIS Development Progress Has Reached 56 Percent

The Jakarta International Stadium (JIS) construction on Jalan RE Martadinata, Tanjung Priok, North Jakarta in the 88th week has reached 56 percent.

Everything is going well

Jakarta Youth and Sports Agency Head, Achmad Firdaus stated that the international standard stadium with 82,000 spectators capacity was targated to be inaugurated soon and used at the end of 2021.

"Everything is going well. The progress of the construction realization is also always inputted and reported every week," he expressed, Monday (5/17).

JIS will Become Inclusive Stadium

He said the current focus work was on stadium construction, especially the roof. JIS would be completed with a retractable roof that adopts a space frame structure. The open and close roof feature could accommodate various needs of the activities that take place under it.

"If the roof is finished, surely the percentage of actual work in the field will increase rapidly," he explained.

PT Jakarta Propertindo (Jakpro) Corporate Manager Communication, Melisa Sjah added it would also be completed with a sky viewing deck feature thus visitors could enjoy the view of the field from the top of the stadium and around the stadium roof circle. The main roof truss structure was already available at the JIS project site and was still under assembly.

“The roof that has been assembled will be lifted and will use the heavy lifting method with the weight of the roof structure reaching approximately 4,000 tons," she stated.
