Ahok Inauguration Remains Uncertain

Acting Jakarta Governor, Basuki 'Ahok' T Purnama revealed
that he did not know where he will be inaugurated as Jakarta Governor and its
inauguration. All is decided by President Joko 'Jokowi' Widodo.

"I don't know where the president will inaugurate me,
it depends on him (Jokowi)," exclaimed Ahok after holding an executive
meeting at City Hall, Monday (11/17).
He also cannot be sure whether the inauguration will take
place on Tuesday (11/18) or not. However, City Secretary, Saefullah held a
meeting with the ministry's general director for regional autonomy,
Djohermansyah Djohan, Monday afternoon, to discuss the inauguration.
"I don't know when the inauguration will be held,
whether it is on Tuesday or Wednesday, yet the State Secretariat has prepared
the President Decree letter," he explained.
He asserted that the inauguration has nothing to do with
Jakarta Legislative Council (DPRD), but in touch with the President as the
official who will induct him.
"It deals with the President Decree letter only. DPRD
is just invited as an invitation to attend the inauguration. So there is no
plenary session," he stressed.
Previously, the DPRD had held a plenary session on Friday
(11/14), around 11 AM. It took place about five minutes was only attended by
DPRD Chairman, Prasetyo Edi Marsudi, as well as four vice chairmen did not
attend. They are M Taufik (Gerindra party), Abraham Lunggana (PPP party),
Ferial Sofyan (Democratic party), and Triwisaksana (PKS party). Although it is
not quorum, the meeting has set Ahok as the new governor replaces Jokowi.
"DPRD received a recommendation letter from the Home
Ministry regarding Ahok's inauguration. Therefore, I announce and propose Ahok
becomes Jakarta Governor period 2014-2017," he exclaimed.
The council then sent it to President through Home Ministry
for approval Ahok as governor.
