East Jakarta Mayor, Muhammad Anwar expressed the declaration was held at Embrio Market, Makasar, as the market was one of the economic centers in East Jakarta.
"The number of traders selling at the market is 337 people. They are also members of the Jakpreneur," he stated.
To revive the community's economy during the pandemic, he explained, the East Jakarta was aggressively promoting independent entrepreneurship for MSME entrepreneurs through the Jakpreneur program.
He went on to say that the various efforts that had been made in improving the people's economy had yielded results with the revival of the people's economy. One proof of this matter was the number of MSMEs in East Jakarta, which reached 17,148 people, by 2020.
"This number has increased by 20 than last year," he said.
Its declaration was marked by distributing prizes to winners of clean and healthy kiosk competitions. There were also door prize coupons in the form of gas stoves, dispensers and electric irons for traders in the market.
