West Jakarta SDA Repairs Retaining Wall of Rawa Kepa Reservoir

Retaining wall of Rawa Kepa Reservoir on Jl. Rawa Kepa V, Tomang Urban Village, Grogol Petamburan is being repaired. There are three points that should be repaired. This work is targeted to be completed next month.

There are three points that we are repairing

West Jakarta Water Resources (SDA) Sub-agency's Drainage Maintenance Section Head, Wawan Kurniawan informed, those three retaining wall points had cracks at the bottom part. Repair has been carried out since May 18, 2021.

"There are three points that we are repairing. Each points have length of 7 meters with height of 3 meters. Its location is near residents' houses thus it is feared that it could cause landslides if they are not repaired immediately," he conveyed, Monday (5/24).

Repair was carried out by dismantling the cracked stones first, then installing dolken woods as support, then replacing the stones with mix of cement and sand to make it stronger. For repairing it, his side deployed 35 West Jakarta SDA Sub-agency personnel.

"After repairing it, we hope it can be stronger and no more cracks to prevent landslide from occurring," he mentioned.
