Channel on Jl. Hankam Joglo is Being Dredged

Kembangan Sub-district Water Resources (SDA) Unit is dredging water channel as long as 500 meters on Jl. Hankam, Joglo Urban Village, Kembangan Sub-district, West Jakarta. This dredging work is started today and targeted to be completed in the next 20 days.

Kembangan Sub-district SDA Unit Head, Mulyadi mentioned, his side had just finished dredging 100-meter channel on Jl. Hankam.

Dredging is carried out because mud sedimentation thickness on water channel has reached 50 centimeters. His side deployed 15 personnel in this dredging work.
"Our target is to collect 350 sacks of mud a day from the channel. It is carried out manually using hoes, crowbars, garden forks, and sacks," he explained.
By dredging it, he expected the channel can be more optimal in holding water, especially when heavy rain falls. He reminded residents for not littering the channel to prevent flooding.
