City Extends PPKM Mikro to Control Pandemic and Promote Vaccination

In order to control COVID-19 pandemic and promote vaccination program, Jakarta Government has again extended Micro-scale Public Activity Restrictions (PPKM Mikro) period until June 14, 2021. This policy was mentioned in Governor's Decree No. 671/2021, Governor's Letter No.251/-1.772.1, and Governor's Instruction No. 37/2021.

However, we remain vigilant for more severe spike in cases

Based on data from Jakarta Health Agency, in the last two weeks there is an increase in active cases due to homecoming backflow after Eid 1442 Hijri holiday, where as of May 31, 2021 there were 10,568 active cases in Jakarta where it increased from 3,365 cases from the previous two weeks.

"This year's spike in active cases is slightly better than last year which reached 30 thousand cases. This figure is also obtained from the hard work of our tracing officers who carried out early detection, especially on those who have returned from hometown after Eid holiday," said Jakarta Health Agency Head, Widyastuti, as quoted from Jakarta PPID Press Release.
