Gegana Team Checked Ahok’s Office

A few hours before Acting Jakarta Governor Basuki ‘Ahok’ Tjahaja Purnama inaugurated as Jakarta Governor, 12 City Police Gegana Bomb Squad personnel checked Ahok’s office which located on the second floor of City Hall B Block. Entering Ahok’s office at 8.10 AM, all personnel wore complete Gegaga uniforms like helmets and bullet proof vests as well as brought long rifles.

“We’re looking for evacuation route for Mr. Ahok that can be used at anytime during emergency situation,” stated one of Gegana personnel, Agus Riyanto, Wednesday (11/19), after the inspection.

From Ahok’s office, all Gegana personnel gathered to coordinating, then they moved to Balai Agung which located on the first floor. Their presence inevitably attracted the attention of Jakarta Provincial Government civil servants (PNS).

Based on beritajakarta.com observations, besides the presence of Gegana bomb squad, there are also two water cannon vehicles, one barbed wire vehicle, three barracudas, and two trucks to transport policemen, and hundreds of policemen spread all around City Hall. In addition, two barracudas, one quick response car, and two trucks transporting policemen are also seen at City Council (DPRD) building on Jalan Kebon Sirih.
