DPRD Vice Chairman's Lawsuit Plan Over Ahok's Induction Deemed Mistaken

A plan of the four Vice Chairmen of Jakarta Legislative Council (DPRD) who will dispute a recommendation letter proposing Basuki 'Ahok' T Purnama's inauguration as Jakarta Governor to the State Administrative Court (PTUN) is deemed mistaken.

Jakarta DPRD Chairman, Prasetyo Edi Marsudi disclosed there is no legislation that violated the recommendation letter that was sent to the President through the Home Ministry.

"Institutionally, I've obeyed the rules set by the institutions that exist in DPRD. What I violate? I am looking for them (four DPRD vice chairmen) but they do not exist. But they want to impede the inauguration. I had the prerogative right. It refers to the Home Ministry," he stated, Tuesday (11/18).

He disclosed, the governor inauguration will remain be held at the Presidential Palace today or Wednesday (11/19) noon. "Mr. Basuki will be the second governor inaugurated at the Presidential Palace. The first is Ali Sadikin," he said.

Head of Jakarta Regional Employment Agency (BKD), I Made Karmayoga expressed Ahok's inauguration had a legal basis (Presidential Decree). "Presidential Decree was signed Mr. Joko 'Jokowi' Widodo.
