Jakarta's Latest Official COVID-19 Figures as of June 15

The Jakarta COVID-19 Quick Handling Task Force announces the latest information of Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) cases as of June 15.

The number of people tested last week has reached 82,497

Jakarta Health Agency's Disease Prevention and Control Division Head Dwi Oktavia Tatri Lestari stated, based on the latest data, the swab tests had been carried out on 13,192 specimens. 8,970  of them were to diagnose new cases with 1,502 positive and 7,468 negative results. In addition, an antigen test was also held today, where 5,632 were tested, with 428 positive results and 5,204 negative results.

"The WHO test target is 1,000 people who are tested by PCR per million population per week (not specimens), meaning that the WHO target for Jakarta is a minimum of 10,645 people tested per week. This target has been surpassed by Jakarta for some time. The number of people tested last week has reached 82,497 while 388,637 people have undergone the swab tests," she expressed, as quoted by Jakarta's PPID press release, Tuesday (6/15).

Critical Situation, Jakarta Extends PPKM Mikro amid Rising Covid-19 Cases

As for the number of active cases in Jakarta, date is 19,244 people who are undergoing self-isolation at home (including data of athlete's homestead) or increased to 148 cases. While the total number of confirmation cases in Jakarta to date was 452,295 cases.

Of these cases, 425,417 people were cured with a cure rate reaching 94.1% and 7,634 people died with a world with a death rate of 1.7%, while Indonesia's death rate was 2.8%. The positivity rate in the last week in Jakarta was 18.4%, while Indonesia was 10.9%. WHO also set a standard percentage of positive cases of no more than 5%.

Meanwhile, the vaccination process was still ongoing. The number of vaccination targets for stages 1 and 2 (health workers, the elderly, and public servants) was 3,000,689 people. The total vaccination dose 1 was currently 2,965,825 people (98.8%) and the total vaccination dose 2 now reached 1,867,142 people (62.2%). While for the Mutual Cooperation Vaccination, the total in Jakarta was currently 41,676 people.

With the detailed, vaccination dose 1 for health workers reached 135,728 people (120.9%) and vaccination dose 2 included 120,935 people (107.7%), with a vaccination target of 112,301 people.

As for the elderly, vaccination dose 1 was done to 595,046 people (65.3%) and vaccination dose 2 included 535,273 people (58.7%), with a vaccination target of 911,631 people. In the public service, vaccination dose 1 was administered to 2,235,051 people (113.1%) and vaccination dose 2 included 1,210,934 people (61.3%), with a vaccination target of 1,976,757 people.

Based on the daily reports on June 14 at 6 PM, there had been a total fine of Rp 6,650,000. So, it was hoped that the public could be more disciplined in implementing health protocols and participating in curbing the COVID-19.

Amid PPKM Mikro, residents wanting to enter the Jakarta area were urged to carry out independent COVID-19 check-up through the JakCLM via JAKI app. In this app, they could find out the risk of COVID-19 and got various health recommendations according to the risks they have. This contribution would help the government to prevent the diseases in Jakarta.
