BMKG: Rain Expected in Parts of Jakarta Today

The Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) is urging Jakartans to prepare themselves with umbrellas and rain coats as it predicts that rain will pour parts of Jakarta today, Wednesday (6/16).

Jakartans must be aware of the potential for rain accompanied by lightning and strong winds in South and West Jakarta in the morning, as well as North, West and East Jakarta at dawn

"Jakartans must be aware of the potential for rain accompanied by lightning and strong winds in South and West Jakarta in the morning, as well as North, West and East Jakarta at dawn," stated BMKG's official site.

The BMKG predicts that in the afternoon, rain of medium intensity will fall in South and East Jakarta. Clear cloudy is expected in West, Central, and North Jakarta, while sunny in Thousand Islands.

BMKG Forecasts Light Shower in Parts of Jakarta Today

Entering in the evening, rain with light-medium intensity will continue to pour in all five regions of Jakarta, including in Thousand Islands.

While the tomorrow's dawn would see light rain in North Jakarta and Thousand Islands, except in West, Central, South and East Jakarta.

Temperatures in five regions and Thousand Islands is predicted at 24 to 33 degrees Celsius with air humidity of 65 to 95 percent.
