Jakarta International Stadium Construction Reaches 58.2 Percent

The construction progress of Jakarta International Stadium (JIS) on Jalan RE Martadinata, Tanjung Priok, North Jakarta has reached 58.2 percent.

It is targeted to be complete in the upcoming December

PT Jakarta Propertindo President Director, Dwi Wahyu Daryoto said that lifting the roof truss using a heavy lifting system. This method used a hydraulic system with a single lift of the roof truss. Yet the main and space structure were first assembled on the ground floor.

JIS Development Progress Has Reached 56 Percent

"It has been started since June 4 and is targeted to be complete on June 25," he expressed, Wednesday (6/16).

He explained that the lifting the roof truss was carried out in stages as much as 25 centimeters for each lift.

"After it is done, it is continued with the welding process, which has been completed approximately on June 5. Then it is followed by retractable roof technology," he explained.

He added if the roof installation was completed, the realization of JIS construction was predicted to increase to around 62 percent. The work was not only centered on lifting the steel truss of the stadium roof, but paralleling the work on other parts of the stadium.

"It is targeted to be complete in the upcoming December," he added.

As for the information, JIS will be equipped with a retractable roof that adopts a space frame structure or a three-dimensional structural framework. The open and close roof feature can accommodate the various needs of the activities that take place under it.
