Daily Target for COVID Vaccination in Thousand Islands Finally Achieved

The mass vaccination for people aged 18-59 years, which has been held since mid-June in Thousand Islands continues to be accelerated. No wonder, the daily target of 100 people per day has been achieved.

We want to achieve the minimum target of vaccination for 70 percent

Thousand Islands Health Agency Head, Herwin Meifendi said, based on today's monitoring until 12 PM, there were already about 157 registrants from three vaccination sites on Pramuka Islands.

"Six are delayed to receive vaccine after not passing the screening process," he expressed, when he monitored the vaccination at Thousand Islands RSUD, Pramuka Island, Panggang Island Urban Village, North Thousand Islands Sub-district, Monday (6/21).

To optimize it, he had collaborated between elements of the three pillars with the community.

"We want to achieve the minimum target of vaccination for 70 percent," he explained.

Assistant for Thousand Islands Economics and Development Administration, Iwan P Samosir added it would be fully maximized in North Thousand Islands Sub-district.

"Our target is to finish the vaccination on Pramuka Island today, that's why we still open until evening at the RSUD," he explained.

Meanwhile, a resident of Pramuka Island, Akhmad Fakih (49) admitted that he did not feel any disturbing Post Immunization Adverse Events (KIPI).

"Thank you, hopefully more people can be vaccinated thus the pandemic will be resolved soon," he hoped.
