North Jakarta Government takes a part in series of Jakarta's 494th Anniversary event which held virtually by Jakarta Government, on Tuesday (6/22).

Theme for this year's anniversary is 'Jakarta Bangkit' (Jakarta Awakening). This theme shows optimism and hope that Jakarta can rise and recover from COVID-19 pandemic that affects health, economy, social, culture, and region aspects.
On this occasion, Jakarta Governor, Anies Baswedan as ceremony inspector said that optimism to awaken was strengthened by nature of Jakarta residents as tough individuals who are ready to face challenges, including the pandemic.

North Jakarta Mayor, Ali Maulana Hakim also reminded North Jakarta residents to celebrate Jakarta's anniversary by adjusting to the pandemic situation.
"It doesn't mean that we cancel activities, but we must comply with COVID-19 health protocol. Such as Jakarta's anniversary ceremony which carried out virtually. It is one of our anticipatory steps to prevent COVID-19 transmission," he conveyed.
He hopes COVID-19 pandemic will end soon that various social activities can be held normally.
North Jakarta Vice Mayor, Juaini Yusuf added, although it is still in pandemic situation, in accordance with Jakarta's Anniversary theme for this year, 'Jakarta Bangkit', he encouraged people to remain enthusiastic and rise together by working together against COVID-19. He also advised North Jakarta residents to remain disciplined in implementing health protocols.
"Let's take care of each other. Carry out health protocol well as recommended by government. Through collaboration between government, community, and stakeholders, let us fighting together through this situation," he mentioned.
