Jakarta's Latest Official COVID-19 Figures as of June 22

The Jakarta COVID-19 Quick Handling Task Force announces the latest information of Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) cases as of June 22.

The number of people tested last week has reached 112,455

Jakarta Health Agency's Disease Prevention and Control Division Head Dwi Oktavia Tatri Lestari stated, based on the latest data, the swab tests had been carried out on 21,269 specimens. 14,462 of them were to diagnose new cases with 3,221 positive and 11,241 negative results. In addition, an antigen test was also held today, where 4,440 were tested, with 597 positive results and 3,843 negative results.

"The WHO test target is 1,000 people who are tested by PCR per million population per week (not specimens), meaning that the WHO target for Jakarta is a minimum of 10,645 people tested per week. This target has been surpassed by Jakarta for some time. The number of people tested last week has reached 112,455, while 399,202 people have undergone the swab tests," she explained.

Latest Information on COVID-19 Cases and Vaccination in Jakarta as of June 21, 2021

As for the number of active cases in Jakarta, date is 32,191 people who are undergoing self-isolation at home (including data of athlete's homestead) or increased to 131 cases. While the total number of confirmation cases in Jakarta to date was 482,264 cases.

Of these cases, 442,059 people were cured with a cure rate reaching 91.7% and 8,014 people died with a world with a death rate of 1.7%, while Indonesia's death rate was 2.7%. The positivity rate in the last week in Jakarta was 26.6%, while Indonesia was 11.3%. WHO also set a standard percentage of positive cases of no more than 5%.

Meanwhile, the vaccination process was still ongoing. The number of vaccination targets for stages 1 and 2 (health workers, the elderly, and public servants) was 8,815,157 people. The total vaccination dose 1 was currently 3,513,012 people (39.9%), with the number of people being vaccinated in a 1-day dose as many as 113,167 people (Jakarta's proportion of vaccines is 37%). As for the total vaccination dose 2 now reached 1,891,658 people (21.5%), with the number of people being vaccinated in a 2-day dose as many as 4,403 people.

Then the achievement of vaccination for citizens aged 18-59 years, for dose 1 had been carried out to 2,917,358 people (36.9%) and vaccination for dose 2 covered 1,356,385 people (17.2%). As for the elderly, vaccination dose 1 was done to 595,654 people (58.7%) and vaccination dose 2 included 535,273 people (58.7%). While the mutual cooperation vaccination, for dose 1 had been given to 53,398 people and dose 2 covered 11,736 people.

The Jakarta administration also provided isolation beds and ICU beds in curbing COVID-19. Based on the latest data until June 20, there was an increase in the capacity and occupancy of isolation beds and ICU beds. For 9,028 isolation beds, the percentage of occupancy was 90% with a total of 8,103 isolation patients. Meanwhile, for ICU beds of 1,189, the percentage of occupancy was 81% with a total of 961 ICU patients.

Based on the daily reports on June 21 at 6 PM, there had been a total fine of Rp 14,950,000. There were also 80 restaurants, food stalls, and cafes that have been temporarily suspended, including 6 offices, workplaces, and places of business.

This contribution would help the government to prevent the diseases in Jakarta.

To get vaccine, residents can go to the vaccination site. However, to speed up vaccination, they must register online via JAKI app or corona.jakarta.go.id/vaksinasi. By registering online, they may choose the schedule and place of vaccination themselves, as well as being able to pre-screen online tests.

Currently, 326 vaccination centers/locations have been available in Jakarta and will continue to be added as needed. To find them, it can be checked through the Google Maps application, by writing "vaksin COVID-19".

The categories of residents 18+ who can be vaccinated in Jakarta are:

• Residents with Jakarta ID cards

• Residents with ID cards from outside Jakarta, but domiciled in Jakarta (bring domicile information obtained from the RT officer, not necessarily from the RT head)

• Workers in Jakarta who have ID cards from outside Jakarta (bring information from the workplace)
