The overflowing of Ciliwung River because of water from Bogor has inundated some areas in Jakarta, Thursday (11/20). One of the worst areas is Kampung Pulo and Bidara Cina Urban Village, Jatinegara Sub-district, East Jakarta.

The water started to inundate at around 3 AM as high as 4 centimeter. The water also inundate Jalan Raya Jatinegara Barat as high as 5 centimeter.
Moreover, the water also inundated SDN Bidara Cina 05 as high as 60 cm. As the result, teaching learning process (KBM) for 396 students must be stopped and sent them home.
5 Urban Villages Flooded, 17,569 People Take RefugeThe school chairman, Sofyan Saori, said the condition will last for long time since the Ciliwung River does not show better condition.
"All student and teacher house who live in Bidara Cina also inundated. The road access to school is impossible to be passed due to flood," Saori said.
Saori admitted his side has anticipated the flood by moving all archive, book and student practice tool to second floor.
But the flood has damaged the table, chair and the door also.
Jatinegara Sub-district Vice, Manson Sinaga, explained the water level in Kampung Pulo is about 30 cm to 4 meter, especially for area in radius 15 meter. At least, there are 81 RTs and 8 RWs in Kampung Pulo submerged by flood. Those areas are totally lived by 16,366 people.
"About 432 people of Kampung Pulo are evacuated to some points. Aid from PMI has been also distributed," he added.
