As we know, the Jakarta administration has set up free oxygen cylinder refill post at Monas in order to ensure adequate supply of oxygen cylinders for hospitals in the capital city.
To see firsthand the distribution process, Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan, visited one of the oxygen filling plants in Pulogadung, East Jakarta, on Wednesday (7/7).
6,352 Oxygen Cylinders Transported by Alkal Unit and SDA Sub-Agencies"It was previously used for industrial and medical needs. But, during the pandemic crisis, it is used for medical activities," he expressed, as quoted by Jakarta PPID's press release.
He also expressed that one of the problems related to its distribution was related to personnel, where many officers claimed to be tired as the filling and transportation of oxygen was conducted non-stop due to high demand. That was why he opened a collaboration with Kodam Jaya, to transport oxygen cylinders at the Pulogadung oxygen cylinder filling plant.
"Certainly we need more personnel to do distribution considering it is done non-stop, so we decided to involve Kodam Jaya. It's a job that has to be done non-stop, as it has consequences on the oxygen supply in the hospital," he explained.
"We are doing everything we can to make sure supply is guaranteed," he furthered.
Aside that, he also ensured that he would continuously establish collaboration and coordination with similar companies related to oxygen cylinders.
"So, we have coordinated with companies (filling oxygen cylinders), and has also been done since two weeks ago. Alhamdulillah everything went smoothly. Hope it goes well in the future," he stated.
